We take breaks when needed and adjust our grooming approach based on each pet’s comfort level, temperament, age, and individual needs. Our goal is to make grooming as safe, calm, and positive as possible.

What verification and licenses do we hold?

Groomingdales maintains the required business credentials and follows applicable local and state requirements. We are happy to provide specific licensing, registration, insurance, and professional certification information upon request.

What hygiene and sanitation practices do we follow?

We take cleanliness and sanitation seriously. Grooming tables, tubs, kennels, tools, and other high-contact surfaces are cleaned and disinfected regularly throughout the day. Grooming tools are cleaned between pets, hair and debris are removed throughout the grooming process, and bathing areas are sanitized between uses. We maintain a clean environment to help protect the health and safety of every pet in our care.

Do we offer cage-free grooming services?

Yes! Cage-free grooming is available at Groomingdales at no additional charge. Dogs who are friendly and comfortable around other dogs can enjoy our cage-free grooming area while they wait for or recover from their grooming appointment.
Our groom room is designed to be comfortable and relaxing, with couches, dog beds, and cots available for our furry guests. Fresh water is always available.
For the safety and comfort of all of our clients, cage-free care is available only for dogs who are friendly and appropriate around other dogs. We always prioritize the safety and individual needs of every pet in our care.

What products and tools do we use?

At Groomingdales, we use high-quality, natural grooming products that are selected with the health, comfort, and individual needs of each pet in mind. We choose gentle products whenever possible and avoid unnecessary harsh ingredients.
We use professional grooming tools and equipment, including clippers, blades, scissors, brushes, combs, dryers, and other grooming tools. Our tools are cleaned and disinfected regularly, and our blades and scissors are sharpened and maintained regularly to ensure they perform properly and provide a safe, comfortable grooming experience.
We take pride in keeping our products, tools, and equipment clean, well-maintained, and ready for every furry client.

How do we ensure pets’ safety and comfort during grooming?

At Groomingdales, your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always our top priorities. We take the time to get to know each pet and adjust our grooming approach based on their age, temperament, comfort level, and individual needs.
We use slow, gentle, and patient handling, especially with anxious, elderly, or special-needs pets. Pets are supervised throughout the grooming process, and we never force a pet through a situation that is causing significant stress or discomfort. When needed, we take breaks and allow pets time to relax.
We carefully monitor pets during bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and haircuts, and we use properly maintained, clean equipment. Our groomers also pay close attention to signs of stress, discomfort, overheating, or fatigue and make adjustments when necessary.
For dogs who are comfortable around other dogs, we also offer cage-free care at no additional charge, with couches, dog beds, cots, and fresh water available in our groom room.
Our goal is for every pet to leave Groomingdales looking great while also feeling safe, respected, comfortable, and loved.

What training and certifications do our groomers have?

Both of our professional groomers received their formal grooming education at Nanhall Professional School of Grooming, where they completed their grooming training and earned their Professional Grooming Certificates.
Their education included hands-on training in professional grooming techniques, safe pet handling, bathing, drying, brushing, breed-specific haircuts, nail care, and overall pet safety.
